Default Tilted Center Radiator Hose

Search wasn't helpful and I haven't found a local source for metric radiator hose so I'll order in advance.

Does anyone know the diameter and length of the coupler hoses to use after the center radiator is tilited. This silicone hose is available in 3", 4" and 12" straight pieces.

Thanks

As an option, IIRC simply rotate the center radiator 180 degrees (upside down) on a 996GT3 reconnect using the same hoses. Functions the same and never had any issues.

Thanks, it's pretty nice for an "old GT3".

After the tilt, do you guys sealed the bottom to force the air up? Is that a custom job or you can buy some existing parts (Cup parts) to achieve that?

I pop riveted some black anodised aluminium sheet over the holes - works just fine. The addition of the GT2 chimney assists directing the air up to the PU cutouts too.

Not to hand but I'll take one over the w/e & post it up. It's not a very exciting (or expensive, fortunately) bit of shaped plastic, but it does direct the airflow up & out of the cutouts in the front PU.

I found one! Knew I had it somewhere. This illustrates the GT2 chimney well; it seals around the back of the radiator & directs the airflow upwards so it can flow cleanly out of the PU vents. You really notice it over about 120mph; the front becomes much more nailed down than it was before.

With that "chimney", you technically wouldn't need to close the bottom anymore.. interesting.. !

Thanks for the pic!!

After an a dead tire retread jumped in front of my 6GT3 during a night commute I replaced the front skin with IIRC a cup version. No lower vents but, chose to seal front tow hook. To help channel airflow to newly tilted radiator utilized the inner venting from 6GT2. Highly regarded Porsche body shop massaged this plastic part to fit and retain an intended factory look. Finished product offered cooler running temp and more planted front end at speed. Shortly after traded for .1RS.
