Default Changing out Throttle Body

I have read the ups and downs of the IPD plenums, and it seems like when the Throttle Body is changed out from the smaller 996 version to the bigger 997 version, power is added (which seems to be the difference, not the plenum itself).

What Throttle Body would I need to switch to, the 997 3.6 only, or will the 3.8 997 TB work as well? Such as one from a C4S 3.8 997?

Thanks!

The plenum seems to have little or no affect, but the bigger throttle body added power in the write-ups I read.

I've read and heard the same things but never first hand and never with data to back it up

I'd like to see it proven to work but the bottom line is I don't believe that proof is out there...yet

The two Dyno graphs I've seen of plenum plus throttle body show gains below 4500 rpm but no gain or even loss of power above 4500. Useless for me given that power band.

The 82mm without plenum is interesting but it's not a simple bolt on. The throttle body is <$300 but you have to machine the stock plenum for them to mate. At that point you are past the point of no return.

I was really close to doing the throttle body but decided against it. Not enough proof it's worth while.
