So this alternator will work for my 05 gt3? It looks like the regulator bolts on to the back of the alternator and is included in the $242 one from amazon. I think at that price I would rather just replace. But, I will at least call a local shop and inquire about rebuild cost.

I would check the voltage drops before ruling the alternator faulty. My C2 had a bad ground and did not charge adequately. Voltage drop should not be more than 0.2-0.3v to ground. Test by using your VOM between the negative terminal of the battery and the alt frame. New ground cable solved everything once diagnosed.
