Sorry, Guys, but hierarchy is as follows -

1. colored Porsches carry extra weight;
2. white is the absence of color so better; ... but
3. black is the absence of light so fastest...

Everybody knows that...
Ah, but what's the first thing everyone does with their cup car? Add color! Why? To make it faster obviously!
So a Yellow car is already colored, hence already faster.

Simple really.

A white car is like an blank canvas - lots of potential but not a work of art yet. It's not until color is added does it become masterful....much like a yellow GT3.
A black car is like the dark of night - lots of noises but not much to see. It's not until the YELLOW sun comes up and brightens everything that the excitement starts....much like a yellow GT3.
A silver car is like the fog - kind of hazy and not very clear...again, not until the YELLOW sun burns it off and brightens everything does it come to life...much like a yellow GT3.

So obvious is scary...

These used to be so rare to see in these parts. I'd be lucky to see one at the local Autox.
Now... I see 997 GT3 RS at my local Starbucks parking lot...tires look well behaved.

hate to get all technical here , Titanium dioxide, which is used to make white pigment, has a density of approximately 1.5 times of any other coloured pigment. So the same volume of white pigment would be about 50% greater in weight than the same volume of say, a straight red pigment.

Now of course the paints are all blended from various pigments so, no true way of knowing the exact difference! Just a useless fact.. and no, I'm not just saying that because my car is arctic silver either...
