Default MK1 wheel spacer

Hi guys,

I read somewhere that the 996 GT3 mk1 comes with 5mm wheel spacers from the factory. Tried researching some more but I couldn't so much info about it. Can you guys confirm this for me please? My 6GT3 doesn't have spacers and it could be why the stance is a little different compared to other ones I see around.

And if I get 5mm front and 7mm rear spacers does anyone have experience doing something like that?

Thanks in advance.

*Apologies if this was discussed here already. I tried using the search function but I didn't find it there.

Front and rear spacer part number (updated) - 997 361 605 90 - it's a 5mm space

You need 4 - 2 front and 2 rear for pre 2002 cars.

You also need the longer wheel bolts to run the space on the factory spec wheels - they have a red band on them.

Hmm... what's the lenght of the stock wheel bolt? I have 5mm spacers up front and all my wheel bolts are same lenght.

You can see if it is the longer bolt - the contact collar is red - on the standard collar it is black.

Red ones for using with the spacer. I can't find the specific lengths in the parts catalogue, it may be somewhere, but I can't find it.

Thanks. Just checked and the contact collars are indeed red in my bolts. Good to know I could try thin spacers at the back without buying new bolts. Not that there's much space, I have 11" et 56 BBS LM wheels in there.
