SoCal/NorCal Night track event
Interesting track event coming up Aug. 3rd Sat. 4pm-12am Willow Springs "streets of willow" counter clockwise. I'm signed up, hope to see other RL folks.
Beat the heat, drive on track at night.

I'm not affiliated with this event, just signed up to practice my driving.

I have a level of confidence when I do PCA / POC events.
I've heard some interesting stories about "speed venture" type events.
The name extremespeedtrackevents doesn't give me a warm-n-fuzzy.
have fun

Back from the event at "streets of Willow Springs". Very diverse group of people and cars. FYI running in the fastest red group with most of these type of events is not as "cowboy wild west" as the other run groups. I will say everyone there loves cars and driving them.
Represented the "old manual GT3" well with the fastest lap time of the day and the night. Just 1.5 sec slower at night. Night driving is a trip on the senses.
Tires were NITTO NT-01s. Many people came by to say how wicked the exhaust from Charles in Seattle sounded. So crisp on the rev matching down shifts. The car was perfect. Drove to the track on the NT-01s, unpacked tool kits, jack, cooler etc. etc. Five sessions on track, loaded up and cruised home.
Neighbors not happy coming home around 12:30am
Good times,
Joe

Thanks Dell, it's my dream car. Thanks for setting her up for me.
Not sure do to work schedule, plus have three track events at the end of Sept.

I instructed at a nite event. Easy to outdrive headlights at night on-track. My student told me he had problems seeing at night when we were out on our "sunset" run. Why he signed up beyond me. I won't be doing that event again this year.

I hear ya. Would not want to instruct someone at night event. I will be driving in another night event, great fun for me. I found myself going to low beams when passing someone then forgetting to go back up to high beams. I will just leave high beams on at all times next event and try to be closer to day lap times while at night.
