Fuel starvation

Totally agree. But my wife and I share the car at DE and it sometimes gets triple stinted, spending over an hour on track with only time to belt up between sessions. In these instances, I just cant get enough gas into the car before it goes out, so I have some experience in this by default.

Frustrating problem with right hand sweepers. At 1/4 tank or less, fuel pump can't get enough to keep engine going. Sputters, nearly stalls. This was a problem even before I removed fuel pump to check hoses after FVE's well-documented hose failure. I ended up having to reattach the fuel gauge float device, but I could not identify any problem with the fuel pick-up, and the starvation problem persists. Any one have a solution short of replacement of the whole unit?
any resolution or further info regarding fuel starvation?
I started noticing this on right hand sweepers as well.
Tank was close to half full though and I am running the latest version of fuel pump which was replaced like 1.5 years a go.

No change in the situation, but I haven't had a chance to get reacquainted with the fuel pump. Hearing that you have the same problem with a newer version is disappointing, ala mmuller's experience. Maybe it is just a quirk of the design/model. Lots of 6-3 drivers don't track their cars so they don't know if their car would behave the same. I guess it would be interesting to hear from 6-3 trackers who DON'T have the problem.

^ your car looks awesome!!! Neway I always have at least half tank to 3/4 tank full. Maybe there is no sol'n to the problem other than filling it up more. Better for the fuel pump neways. Not fun when car is hiccuping and impending doom to fuel pump. Mike
