From May 27th 2013 Autoweek.

And that it's the best they ever recorded from a production car. The article then went on to say that the next closest was a 911 GT3 they tested in 2004.

Interesting... Glad to know "we" own the 2nd car on the list!

Yes, I was also rather surprised to read that myself. The 996 chassis is 1990's technology after all.

Does not surprise me, as I see that regularly on my car while on track as per my AIM camera, also have seen peak -1.3G while braking. Check out my video at at about 10:30 onwards onto the next series of turns... On R888s... :
