Default MSR Houston April 13/14 video

Two great days in Houston, sunny and 80-83. There were five 996 GT3 at this Drivers Edge track weekend.
First video has several events; a stopped Civic, a slower M3, a tail wagging 991 (subtle w/ electronics intervening), a moment where my testicular fortitude prevented me from applying throttle so I could find a different route to pit lane to the applaud of a station worker.
I challenge Rovman, Stephen, to add his video. We are both driving on AD08 tires and he managed a 1:44 lap time - excellent driving.

Second video from Harry's Lap timer and iPhone. Lap time shows as 1:52 but it starts at 3.5 sec. Harry said best time of 1:50.

Looks like fun Tor! Nice save there on not looping the car. Those AD08's give a nice warning before completely letting go which is why I still need to be on them.

Ahh the KEY HOLE, that turn in same direction you were driving cost me about 4k in a new steering rack plus broken driver side wheel and made me loose out on Sunday all together. Car could not be driven home. This was in my TT with psm off on same tires your running. Just pushing to hard in the turn and then the inside curbing ends with a nice BLUNT edge. Live and learn.

I will be driving with the AD08 for a while longer as well. MSRH did some fixes but there are still some big holes at the ends of some of the rumble strips. 4k worth of damage, ouch.

Did you get in for the PCA - COTA?

Nice driving, Tor. Five 996 GT3's on track at one time must have been quite a sight. I've only been around MSR once, as a passenger. Will have to bring my car over and do a DE there later this year.

Tor, the local Mardi GrasPCA chapter hosted an excellent DE and club race at NOLA this past weekend. The weather was perfect and there were quite few Cups (both 996 and 997) in attendance, including a Brumos 4.0 Cup, as well as a 997 RSR. A spectacular 962 competed in the club race, and a 3.0 RSR was in the paddock.

Felix,

That is some beautiful hardware there. I wanted to go but I have been gone too many weekends in a row and it was time for some family time.

It was painful not going but I enjoyed the time with my boys as well. I will have to sign up for the next one.

Tor and I had a great time at MSRH. Looking forward to getting everyone together again.
