Bathroom Scale Weigh-In - Fikse / Volk / Stock
I just weighed all my wheels. Absolute values are likely +/- 2lb (non-calibrated bathroom scale), but the relative differences should be reasonable. All were weighed w/ 235-40/18 front tires and 295-30/18 rear tires. The stock and Volk fronts are 8.5" wide, Fikse front is 9", all rears are 11".
Volk TE37 w/ Yoko A048 - front (50% tread) 42lb, rear (40% tread) 47lb
Fikse Profil 10 w/ Yoko A048 - front (40% tread) 44lb, rear (10% tread) 47lb
Stock w/ Sumitomo HTRZ3 - front (80% tread) 48lb, rear (80% tread) 55lb
I previously weighed my stock wheels with Michelin PS2's installed -
Stock w/ Michelin PS2 - front (40% tread) 46lb, rear (30% tread) 53lb
Observations - It's difficult to evaluate wheel weights using different tires with varying tread depths. Volk / Fikse are a few pounds lighter front and more then 5lb lighter rear than stock. My front Volks are a couple pounds lighter than the Fikses, but the Fikses are 9" wide. The rear Volks are a bit lighter as well - I previously weighed my rear Fikse at 49lb with more rubber on the tire.
