Beautiful example. GLWTA, looks like it's off to a great start.

looks fantastic. How do you like it? I need a gt2 in my life bad! (honestly I'd be happy with either a 6 or a 7). Remind me, since these are not yet 25 years old, what happens when they are imported? show and display only? can they be converted to a "regular" registration/title once 25 year mark is hit? asking for a friend.

I have owned and driven many 996 turbos all AWD. This car is much more connected. The clutch, steering, lightness of the chassis all are noticeably different to a turbo. I know a turbo can be made more to feel like a gt2 but this car just does it for me.
The boost hits effortlessly. My first thought when driving it spiritedly was “this thing is a missile”.
The car is 21.5 years old. Legally imported. Bond Release from NHTSA and titles in PA.

You could get a 996 GT2 with steel brakes from factory (option code 449).
However, this particular example was converted to steel by a Porsche dealer back in July 2004, according to service records.

Here is my 2002 GT2 in Cobalt Blue Metallic. Just had a nice picture taken by Cody Waters in Southern Ohio. Amazing photographer. This was just done in the back of my garage.
