I'm not here to state if modifications to a car will increase you liability or the chance of not obtaining insurance. Such statements or opinions should be restricted to JP's or someone with direct experience (ie not my friend told me....)
One observation, if motorist would have increased liability or unable to insure their automobile after modification, why can you insure a Cobra kit car or it be allowed to have GIANTS cattle guards on pick up trucks. Cattle guards are the most unsafe mods out there as they alter the crash zone and crumple characteristics of the vehicle and yet it is still allowed.

GTS is also a good suggestion. I had forgotten about those. Also considering 993 C2S, but the whole idea here was to NOT buy something 15-20 years old.
