Rotor wear
Most of us around here know when it's time to swap rotors based on cracking, etc., but what about overall wear/thinning of the rotor? Does anybody know of a recommended thickness minimum, beyond which heat dissipation becomes a problem? I ask because my rears are worn down a fair amount, but don't really have any cracking issues, wondering when the thinness itself is an indication to replace.

well Porsche say 2mm total wear from new and you should change, but i've often let them go a lot further than that, I wait until there's a fairly deep wall around the rim say 4mm total..

Where you will see this first is on the track with overheated pads and fluid and then cracking.
