I know the 08's are relatively new but has anyone tried this combination on a 996 gt3?
I was also looking for any feedback on the dimpled PFC rotor which is the only one available for the 996. How long do they last? Do they crack easily?
Would the 06 (front) 01(back) be a better combination? Car is primarily a track car in the pacific northwest. Thanks.

Fantastic combo. Either 08/01 or 06/01. I prefer the 01 all around but it's not for the faint of heart ![evilgrin](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/evilgrin.gif)
In order of stopping power
1. 01/01
2. 06/01
3. 08/01
The dimpled rotors are great and last a lot longer than stock drilled but you can only use PFC pads with them. That's fine with me

Very pleased with the longevity of the dimple rotors and even the pads which i run thin. PFC 06 front 01 rears feel great to me.

Funny. Had my car set up by pro and he thought too much rear brake bias. I'm running 08's all around. Have jrz's pros with softer spring rates but car very lowered. Love the fact no bed in. Mike

Mike...it all comes down to driver preference. From most setup experts I have talked to, the "default" optimal setup is to have a much rear brake as you can get without locking up.

I have been disappointed with the life of the PFC rotors vs the price. I find they develop cracks easily and tried 2 sets just to be sure. I am trying the Brake Performance Rotors now and only had 4 days on them before the season ended but so far they seem very good.

We built these into our new car and really like the performance. Running 1/1 which seems to be a great combination. Pad wear has been great and rotors have held up well. Sounds like you have a bunch of advice here.

Thanks for advice. My last set of rotors were DeMans and they lasted about 12 track sessions before they cracked. Do you think the PFC rotors might last a little longer?
Do the 01's or the 08's squeal much driving around town?
