Default Wheel sizing for 6GT3

I’ve been searching for quite a while now regarding 6GT3 wheel sizes and offsets. I’d like to buy a set of wheels to individualize my car but given stock sizes and offset there are very few off the shelf styles to choose from.

If I’ve understood what I’ve read correctly that leaves me with brands like fiske, advan, hre CCW, etc. that create one off sizes and offsets of each style they produce. It would also be nice if I was to upgrade the wheels to a different size that I have a wider choice in tires.

Educate me on wheel sizing for the 6GT3. If you were to buy a custom set of wheels would you stick with the stock 18’s sizes? If not, why?

It all depends on what you are looking for and what alignment you want to run. Do you want something like the pic above (hope not) or something that works well.

Cheers

I won't change if I lose any performance so fitment like the car above would be unacceptable. What size do you recommend?

^^ this guy knows what he talking about.

Most of those wheels should be available through special orders. I haven't seen many custom fit wheels.

So the consensus is 18x9s with a 40 offset and 18x11s with a 60 offset?

I do like the CCW's

CCW makes a good wheel. If you will be tracking the car determine what tire you will want to use as that can have an impact on the wheel width.

I guess the following are better for you.
F:18x8.5 40
R:18x11 60
Sorry, commonplace reply.

SP510 is very cool

Exactly what I'm trying to understand. It would be nice to get away from the 295/30 tires. What are the options?

gman, The attached file is from the must read sticky thread at the top of the forum.

For the fronts 9" should be good for most of the front options. However you may find 11's for your rears more suitable for most of the tire alternatives. 12's are great for a 315 hoosier, but not good for the 305 kumho. Also some of the slicks like the yoke's would be better on 11's.

Hope this helps.

Cheers
