Default Help with removal of interior trim and panels

I am trying to remove the large side panels next to where the rear seats would be, any suggestions or directions or DIYs that any one can point to before I break something?

I am also trying to remove the surround trim around the radio and climate control, same thing, any suggestions or directions or DIYs that any one can point to before I break something?

Thanks,
Mike

996 workshop manuals are available online if you do a search in google for '996 service manual pdf'. It should be in the first 3 hits and give you everything you need.

The dash surround is easy, just get under it and pull. Best if you start at one side, bottom edge. The rear pieces are more involved, read the service manual to get the skinny.

I removed those rear side panels on the Twin Turbo, and remember there is a hidden screw at the seatbelt guide that is tricky to get to. Small mirror and I think torx bit did the trick.

How's Jim's car?

This YouTube video is about installing a techquipment bar, but it also shows how to remove those back panels in great detail. Hope that is helpful.

Just did mine- pretty easy to pull apart- note the screw on the interior door handle. Careful when you disconnect the metal wire and don't forget about the interior light connection. I had previously had my tech remove glass, air bags and motors so it was quite a bit easier.
