Default fair market trade-in/retail value - 2004 GT3

i am considering moving on from my gt3 and would appreciate feedback on fair market value.

2004 gt3
39,000 miles
CPO through August 2013
arctic silver
gt3 euro seats (oem seats sitting in my garage)
DAS bar (powdercoated black)
new tires (yokohama AD08's with under 250 miles)
RMS, IMS, Guard Diff rebuild, new 997 RS clutch and LWFW done last winter
All maintenance (coolant, tranny, brake fluid + oil) performed regularly.
car is parker indoors daily and stored november through april (no winter use)

front bumper and hood were resprayed by previous owner due to road chips (very well done). otherwise paint is all original and in fantastic condition.

car is in Boston.

is KBB is accurate? so few similar examples are available on cars.com that pricing it that way does not seem accurate either.

the reason for moving on is to buy something that's suitable for year-round use and rear seats (we have a 2 year-old and it would be nice for my wife and him to fit at the same time). so i am considering 991 carrera s, a gtr or ....

thanks in advance.

I would say low 50s retail would be reasonable. However, mileage and paintwork may tend to lower it a bit IMO.

Obviously somebody is throwing darts at a board rather than understanding the current 6-3 market.

FWIW, I bought a VERY similar car (but no CPO) in the last week, in the northeast, for $51k. Thought I got a very fair deal.

I did not get the oem seats, but if you sell yours separately, I'd be interested.

KBB is not accurate. Low book (wholesale book) is about $56k and retail is about $64K. In my opinion, you're car will not sell for anwhere near those numbers.

Trade-in is going to be low $40s to $45K (unless the dealership makes mistake). Selling it yourself might get $50Kish. The CPO will be a nice selling point, but I think Artic silver is the most common color.

I have followed this market very closely the past 4 months (as I am currently in the market for a 6gt3) and this is what I have seen sell:
04 with 19K miles Artic Silver for $49K (ebay)
04 with 20 something K miles with lots of extras, guards red for $51k (ebay)
04 with 40 something K miles, midnight blue $48ish K (porsche dealer in so.cal)
04 with 25k miles Artic Silver for $51.9K (ebay and rennlist)
04 with 19K miles Midnight blue and ceremics listed for $58k and probably sold near that number(Porsche dealer)
04 with 30k miles artic silver and lots of extras for $51k (Rennlist last week)

And every high priced GT3 being sold on Cars.com, Autotrader, and other places have been for sale for awhile......they tend to just sit.

Hope it helps

Very helpful current market update, thanks. I just can't believe some sellers still want $60-$69k for their 6GT3s here in SoCal.

And I believe they are still for sale. If it is priced at FMV they tend to sell quickly.

they can demand whatever they want, but the car will just sit there.
i think my 4.0 is worth about $400k. i will have it delivered to the buyer free of charge... who knows, theres a sucker born every minute.
