A solution for tires spinning on the rims that I have heard, but not tried, is to use cheap hair spray on the rim bead seat before mounting the tires.

Hoosiers- 1-12 hc's- nice grip/ 12 -18 hc's - mpsc grip/ 18-27 hc's- car control(actually very fun). For some reason can't get consistent laptimes- sometimes fast sometimes slow/ kuhmos pretty consistent all the way til it cords. I run 30 hot on both tires. On a 2 min track r6 about .5-.8 difference faster but laptimes deteriorate after 12 hc's. Got my fastest laptime at 38 hc's with kuhmo- go figure. Mike

Mike,

Your Kuhmo experience gives me hope. If I can get 38 HC's at a fairly consistent grip level out of the Kuhmos I'll be ecstatic. Curious why some Kuhmos are cording at 16 HC's and some are lasting close to 40 HC's. I'll be watching mine close and praying for 40......

I think Sebring is pretty rough on tires. NorCal tracks are silky smooth.

Just purchased the gforce1. Any recommendations on breaking them in. I've been told with one heat cycle and then let them sit for at least 24hours. I was going to break them in yesterday and let them sit until winterfest but had a mechanical issue with my car. Is 24 hours enough?

I finally purchased a set! I'll be at winterfest with them Thursday Friday. I'm going to run my yoko's slicks on Thursday and BFG on Friday...I'm interested to see if there willl be any difference in performance and lap times. My yoks are super sticky.

mkk62 - I'll be there thursday Friday and running in super solo. I'll be at the Foreign Affairs tent in the the concrete paddock. Come find me. But don't let the name fool you; I'm rather short. Curious, what kind of lap times are you doing with your car. I've only been to sebring once with this car and I'm still getting comfy in it. My best lap was a 2:24. I'm confident I could get it to 2:22 with out going to far. The previous owners son did a 2:18 which in this car I think is insane...I'm not that fearless.

Mee too Chuck. I'll need to heat cycle them on the first day of winterfest and then really get into them on the second day. I'm hoping my lap times dont take a hit.

I'd it a yellow gt3? Thought that was really well sorted. Mine is stock except for jrz's lwfw guard LSD. Best 223's on kuhmos. Had the car only 2 yrs and still learning. With hoohoos and Charles exhaust I just ordered hope to break 222 if cold enough
