Default I'm back 2

I bought my GT3 brand new in 2004, spec'd out just as I wanted, and tracked it and babied it for 5 years and then sold it. A monumentally stupid decision that I started regretting about 10 minutes after the car was loaded onto the trailer.

Fortunately, the (my) car ended up in the care of someone who not only maintained it, but also improved on it in a manner similar to what I did (factory where available, less is more, etc.)

The second owner and I kept in touch in case he ever wanted to sell, and then one day the call came...and a short while after that... my car came home. It won't be leaving again anytime soon. I have to thank the previous owner for a class A transaction and for giving me first opportunity.

Specs: CW on Black (no leather), Euro Cloth CS seats, Teq RB, Console Delete, , Factory RS wing, Factory Schroth Harnesses, ERP suspension links, PFC Rotors and pads.

Best car Porsche has ever made...Couldn't be happier.

Now how do I load up a jpeg pic from my mac? Still haven't fully converted from PCs

Do u have an iPhone? If so just use USB cord like when u backup your phone or update software. click onto iPhoto it should load whatever photos on it or pick the photos u want to load onto the Mac. Not sure if other phones work that way but u could email the pics to your email address and drag pic(s) to iPhoto. I guess u know how to load pics on rl rt? Mike ps- congrats- pretty tough finding a nice white one and even harder when u were the original owner. May I ask how many miles and how much u paid?

Yeah the pics are findable. Just too big and I can't figure out how to reduce their size. My membership lapsed so maybe I'm limited to something really small?

PM sent.

Glad to see you back. Definitely post some pics... I downloaded the "Image Resizer" from the MS Power Tools website... I resize to "medium" and have not had any problems posting.

Enjoy the new and improved ride!

I just figured out I'm over quota so I probably need to delete items. I probably get more when I sign back up as a member.

Posted on EarlyS without any problem though...

I sold mine, then was lucky enough to be able to buy it back when it went up for sale again. I really missed the 6GT3 when it was gone.

Hopefully you'll also get the chance to know exactly how it feels to get it back.

Welcome back. So what car did you leave the 6GT3 for?

I still have a 67s that caught my attention awhile back. I've been driving it for a few years. It's a solid car that deserves a full restoration, which I'm planning on this winter hopefully. IMO the 67S is an incredibly fun car to drive, feels special, looks great, and I like it near as much as the GT3.

I messed around with a nice clean and original 75 carrera thinking that older and slower might be more fun as some have suggested (me included). It was fun... but the GT3 at the same speed is more fun and feels more special. I liked the Carrera because there aren't many nice 75s around and even though that have a history of engine maladies, mine was solid, drove nice, and was generally pretty sporty feeling at street speeds. I was amazed at how modern if felt with it's Honda like CIS injection and it was amazing how tight the chassis was. These cars are much lighter than later cars and are quicker than you'd think.

I've been lucky to own and drive a number of nice cars. The GT3 is still tops. When I sold it I thought that going with something more street appropriate for the street and more track focused for the track was the right plan. That's probably still logically correct...but it wasn't until after selling the GT3 that I realized it's ownership experience is all about emotion, not logic.
