Hi Derek,

I am interested in the shifter cables and the cup shifter. My car currently is apart at a garage. Could I get the parts shipped earlier than 8/1? Thanks.

my car has 996 cup cables and 996 cup shifter. Feel is "pretty good"/solid, but the throws are not that short or precise. I think (hope?) durability for the track is primary upside....

My 2001 986-S w/B&M shifter and stock cables actually has better precise feel and shorter throws.

+1 to above.

2 days ago the cup cables went in and they do certainly increase the "feel" of shifting, ie solid and secure. I am not sure if it is any more precise from a shifting perspective but together with the semi solid engine mounts, I do not notice as much difficulty downshifting through the esses from 4 to 3 to 2nd gear.

If you want a more precise or shorter shift then change the shifter as well.

I am glad I changed the cables to cup ones.

I am in for the cable for sure.. but it does not look like there's enough people who wants the shifter to get the group buy discount..

Hi Canuck. What do you mean by cup "box"? My car's tranny & LSD was recently completely re-built and re-geared by Stan @ GBox. It is awesome.
What are you refering to?
