Default Wheel stud length?

What length studs are you guys using?
I'm running CCWs and stock wheel.
80 and 90mm studs appear to be excessively long.

I'm using 65mm race studs from Apex Comp. I'm running 7mm spacers on the front and the studs work fine with Fikse, Volk Racing, Forgeline and OEM wheels, so should work for the CCW's.

IMO, you should get 80. 65 will work, but it's hard to get your hands deep into the socket well to start the nut (which you have to do if you use an impact wrench or other driver). I couldn't make 65 race studs work for me (couldn't get the nuts started) and returned the whole set for 80s. 65 regular might be better, but I didn't try that route. As I recall, the usable threads on the 65s are really short (deeper into the socket well) if you have race studs or bullet nose. You may even need an adapter to get the nut started, which (IMO) kills the benefit of studs in the first place.

I run OEM wheels, and 80 mm races studs work fine. I feel like I would prefer 85mm to make the initial threading a little easier. I can't wear heavy duty mechanics gloves working with the 80mm studs as you can't really get the nut started. That being said, they don't stick out past the wheels and make wheel swaps so much easier.
