I have an intermittent fault with the oil pressure gauge where it throws a fault stating there is a faulty sensor.

The gauge will drop to zero suddenly, throw a fault, and then suddenly begin working again normally.

It started when the car got wet a few months back and I suspect that either the sensor is bad or more likely the wire connection to the sensor is oxidized.

Where is this sensor located?

Just replaced mine - its located horizontally on the RS

10 minute job, 48 quid in the uk from ebay Porsche-Apart delivered in less than 24 hours


Note that the GT3RS version is fitted horizontally to the end of a metal tube with a bracket and it is much easier to fit a standard 0.75 inch spanner on it.
