She looks superb if a little sun blushed - you 2 will be happy for long time. 3 months and some track time from now 997 will just be part of a telephone number you used to know beauty of the car is how little you NEED to do. We all just mod as an alternative investment strategy to an overheated stock market and to keep busy while waiting for more track time.
Ps - roll bar def not the OEM or club sport one but nice to have a low horiz bar for GoPro; also easier to clean inside of back window. If its super light and made of wood, rather remove it.

Thickest diameter bar I've seen so far and a big foot print by seat anchor. Lack of diagonal on mainhoop- some orgs don't allow it but never had that issue in NorCal. Nice bar. I keep it unless u like oem stuff. Mike

DAS bars a very nice - and a favorite of many on this board (along with RSS & GMG).
It looks like your car is nicely set-up for DE. You already have the Euro 996 GT3 seats - and harnesses.
Check to see that you have the "upgrade" rear toe-links installed as rear alignment tends to get out with factory parts. For DE, I'd also look to see if the car already has POagid or PFC pads, and I'd flush the brake fluid and replace with Castrol SRF or Alcon. Tires are important as well - and a Rennlist "search" will help with advice there...
Enjoy it!

Congrats on your new car...Still waiting on mine to arrive!
Here's info on your rollbar:
https://www.dassport.com/store/categ...-Modifications
By the way, I had one in my 996TT and I have one in the 2004 GT3 that is being shipped to me right now. They're great rollbars for DE. Not legal with some clubs for racing. I've seen atleast two that have been modified with add the diagonal floor to roof bar, so that is an option if you choose to use it for club racing.

Mike thank you for the info. The waiting is killing me. 7 days to go.
Can some tell me what the difference between 996.1 and 996.2 is? I have seen people use the terms but have no clue what the mean.

GT3 996.1 were 1999 and 2000 (I think), but never came to North America. Some folks (911SLOW) say that this was the best overall, well balanced GT3.
996.2 were 2004 and 2005, and is the car that we got here.
As far as actual differences, you're on your own. If you do a search, I'm sure that you will come up with something. Search the 996 GT2/GT3 section, and search for posts by 911SLOW to increase your odds of good results.
