Default Orbit - Carbon Fiber dive planes

Hello Guys,

I have a lot of inquiries for Carbon fiber dive planes for 996GT3.
In order to produce them and to brake even I need at least 10 sets made.

Please let me know who's up to.

Price is 550.00 + shipping, and depending on the quantity I'll be able to lower a bit.

Please let me know so we can move forward.

thank you

Do you have more details or pictures from a prototype? Will they look like the ones for the 997?

Thank you.

No prototype. They will look the same as the 997.
As long as we have enough interested I can produce them.

thank you.

What is the exact benefit of dive planes ?

They are aero parts, right ? Do they generate more downforce at the front only ? How much ?

Hello,

The benefit is to generate front down force. We don't have data of how much it generates, but maybe Porsche does, as it's a CUP-R part.

Thank you for your interest.

It is probably not as effective for car without fender extension but should still provided added benefit for sure..

My only concern would be using it in autocross.. might not want that to hit the cones.. ha!

Is the price similar to the 997 units?

I'm in at $300 ish, but will have to convince myself at $550 :/

Unfortunately this kind of quality and manual production is impossible for 300 ish it's even far from our cost.
Just for reference the same part from PMNA costs more than 400 each side

If we can get between 10 and 15 I'll work the price giving 10% off.
Than we can organize the group buy.

I have some interest. I presume we'd have to drill some holes through the bumper cover. Is there enough rigidity there?

If they are small / narrow and their shape matches the bumper, you don't need to drill.
Porsche thinks that the mini DPs on their 4L are okay with a 3M double tape.

Bigger ones (and I presume that Orbit will size them closer to the real Motorsport version) may need bolts.

FWIW I am doing a DIY version for my car and will drill.
I bolt everything that can fly off , ramair scoops, front lips etc

Actually it would be great to be able to bolt-on easily / quickly.. So for autoX you can take it off and bolt it on for track days.. !

Our 997 version has holes, so can be drilled or double tape.

thank you

Can you post a picture of the 997 versions? Just so those of us that haven't seen them before can get an idea for the size and dimensions you are thinking? Thanks.
