Coolant flushing. Trans cooler electrical diagram
Looking at flushing my antifreeze coolant for water and WaterWetter. Trying to find the electrical schematic for the trans cooler. Interested in triggering the ECU into opening up vacuum controlled valve to flush trans cooler by using connection to trans temp sensor.
It looks like water flow through cooler is controlled by vacuum activated valve as in heater valve on a 944. I guess I could manually hold open valve but it would mean removing lower apron for access.
Heater core can be flushed by turning heater controls to HI.
Just ordered this tool to facilitate exchange:
Looks like it creates a vacuum and suctions in the coolant solution. Will report back how it works once I get it and flush the system. Thanks!

If you have the rear end jacked up you can manually operate diaphragm. Vacuum/Purge tool is a good idea, probably will need to be "BURPED" a few times.
Thermostats do not have bleeder holes in them so once the car is warmed up be sure to do rev cycles- Feel L/R main block hoses for heat.
Hope this helps a bit??
