UPDATE ON WING LATER IN THREAD
Following up on my prior post, is anyone interested in a group buy for a fixed wing? RS wings are hard to come by used, and new ones from normal sources is a bit more expensive. This company makes the movable / active wing, but not for our platform just yet.
Do I need mod support to start a group buy?

General policy on group buys is that the purchases are to be made directly at a reputable vendor. If it is a sponsor even better.
Things are more complicated when an individual collects money from others. We have had fraud in the past and we have no control whatsoever.
That being said this doesn't apply to you or any other long standing RL member so please go ahead.
What is this active wing? More info, I've never seen one in a GT3.

No way am I collecting any money. Group buy would be with a vendor. I honestly don't know if they are a sponson. I could check though.
There is a thread on a competing board with a 997 GT3 getting an active wing. Their data shows a full second faster than fixed. But, actuators require integration and our platform isn't on the list yet. I'll grab the link and PM you when I find it.
Their wing is supposed to be plug and play and at least as good as RS wing. I'll try to grab some graphs etc and post em.

aeromotions
I'd be interested in a group buy price on an aeromotions wing. A friend has one on his 6-3. It's a little different than the RS wing. The AM wing has a longer mounting extention. I'd like a RS, but the cost is nuts. I've been concidering a Getty wing. Are they good on the track?
Since I primarily track my car the aeromotions wing may be a better alternative regardless of the extention.
Or is AM now making 6-3 wings without the extention?
See pic.

You know, there is point of diminishing returns with downforce, because the drag also increases. I found that I lost 4 mph top speed with the 8 degree shims on the back straight at VIR. Of course, the conditions were not identical, but they were reproducible throughout the day.
BTW, I think this wing looks serious.

I'm sure it works, but as John said, at what cost.
I "assume" that the idea is to flatten the wing down the straight so that it doesn't slow you down???

Not sure what my friend paid, it was part of a rather long list of upgrades. PM himself regarding current pricing on a group buy he is trying to put together. Just to be clear the pricing is on the static wing. I don't think AM is ready with a porsche active wing yet.

I'd be interested in a fixed wing to buy and use on my M3. I'd first have to get the measurements... I can get uprights made assuming it is easy to attach?
