Default Rear upper monoball shock mounts

I have to replace the stock rubber ones, the right one makes an annoying noise that I can't eliminate no matter what I tried.

What are you running? How are they holding up?

Cup ones, Tarett, TRG etc.

Looking for the cheapest solution..

Thanks

Ira sells them for $435.00 and TRG has them for 499 a pair. If I am reading their page correctly.

Any other product out there?

Yes and then some. For a noise to irritate me it must be loud and super annoying. This is the first time I can't stand a GT3 noise and you know it makes all sorts..

Just curious - and a bit ignorant - does someone have an exploded diagram showing exactly what these things look like and where located?

I've been assuming they are the partially visible (from inside the cabin) component holding the three bolts that I attached my DAS bar to...but I could be way off...?

Thanks,

FR

Try spraying liberal amounts of wd40 on top of affected strut inside cabin and let soak for 30 min. Did that to locate where noise was coming from- sure enuf noise is gone. At first thought rollbar mount on strut was loose. I just replaced with Oem later. Mike ps- u are damn rt I was going ape**** with that noise.

Don't want to hijack the thread, but I have a "similar" squeak coming out of my right front when I hit a bump (like a speed bump). Any comments on what to look at? PM me so I don't get banned by John for hijacking his thread.

TRG units are on the rear of my car. They probably have 4k miles on them and no noises or problems to date.

Ironically though one of my OEM front mouts is making alittle noise right now and it annoys the heck out of me.

What? Please post here.
Springs and hats make noise, mounts and their rubber make noise, anti roll bar makes noise.

Porsche issued for the rear of the GT3 a rubber washer for the top mount to eliminate noises, for the GT2 they also changed springs at some point! Then issued a TSB for a retrofit kit including the rubber mount support and a secondary plastic sleeve for the spring to try and cure the various clicking noises from the rear of the car.

Thanks Andy, much appreciated.

I am also looking on the 05 cup mounts.

They should work with a 12mm end without any problems but I need to check the diameter of the cup shock and the spring hanger compatibility.
If they do work I 'll get those, cause I think they are cheaper.

Pic of the TRG unit ( 12 & 14 mm spacers are included) to go with the larger pic above. I thought that TRG was also selling a rebuild package for their mount, not sure though. The oem cup unit does fit but was 2 times the price when I was looking. Selling point is that it will last twice as long. Mono ball mounts are more likely to rattle rather than squeak if they are toast.

I have TRG for all 4 corners. Same units I used on my 4S and now the GT3. Checked the bearings at around 12K miles when I moved the mounts from the 4S to GT3, were rock solid. The bearing is available online for around $20/ea couple years ago.
For TRG, you will need to buy the spring hat. For tarett, I think it can uses the blue OEM collar for OEM spring.

It just the monoball bearing needs replace by removing C clip and press it out.

You can get the bearing online for a lot less!

P.S. Race ready products sells different rod ends which fits most dog bones, toe arms etc..

This noise reared its ugly head on my car as well, and in the right rear upper mount... I'm going to hit it with some penetrating oil and see if it helps. That creaking noise under suspension load is driving me bat****.
