Joining the ranks
First post, but long time forum stalker. It's been about a 5 month search and I'm finally closing the deal on a 04 Artic Silver Metallic GT3 with 15k on the clock in the morning. I have about a 100 mile jaunt from CT back to MA. Can't wait! Weather looks nice enough I might be able to stretch it out a bit.

Thank you all for the KIND words. I'm happy to be part of the 996 GT3 community. I just finished my 2 hour treck back from CT. What an amazing car! The only thing wrong with these cars is you can't legaly keep them reving where they should be without seriously smashing some laws!
A noob question here, but is the oil pressure supposed to be around 5 bar whenever you have you foot on the gas? The book says 3.5 bar at 3k RPM. At 3K RPM mine is about 4.5 Bar. At idle mine is at 2 bar. I checked the oil from the computer and it says its 1 notch from MAX, but by dipstick it's barely above the first ball. Any thoughts?

Your oil level and pressures are fine. Most of us look at both the dipstick and the instrument to check the oil level. Porsche AG made checking this harder than it should be.
Do not overfill the engine oil.
