04 gt3 crash at Chuckwalla
Last weekend at Chuckwalla raceway PCASDR ran a TT & DE, one of the DE students was driving his 04 gt3 that he had for only 2 weeks and lost control and hit a cornerworking stand. No one was hurt but the car had heavy damage on the right front and had to be flatbedded out.
For better news from the event a new 4.0 rs showed up and took top time of day, very nice.

I find the original post to be very odd. What is the purpose of telling the world this? Sadistic? I've never found the misfortunes of others to be something to write about or broadcast on a world wide internet forum.

I was there a few weeks ago driving a 996 cup. Drove clockwise and it was an interesting and fun track. Several "gotcha" corners and some radical banking, short straights so not a lot of top end speed but some high speed corners. I can see where a driver could run into trouble but very unlucky to hit something as it's mostly open desert. Too bad a 6GT3 got hurt...hope the driver only has damage to his wallet.

There is merit to this if done with the right intent.
1. mechnical issue(s) that others should be aware of
2. 'new to car' driver issue so others may learn from
From what was posted this was a PCA driver education event so that is a good sign in that it should have been the correct environment to learn and enjoy one's sports car.

And of course, since the 6-3 is always ready to bite a noob. BTDT

My intent that I did not explain was perhaps it makes sence to send more time getting used to a very powerfull car before going to a race track. Sorry if people thought the post was in bad taste, not my intent.
