HELP!
Engine and transmission are loose and coming down. However I threw in the towel for the evening and grab a cold one.
I have two blockers to everything being completely out. First is that top starter bolt.
The other is a line that I can find no reference to anywhere in the instructions. On the drivers side there is a contraption on the side of the tranny that looks almost like an oil cooler. There is a line that appears to carry coolant above the main coolant line which looks like it needs to come loose for the tranny to be completely free. Did you guys who have been through this remember needing to pull this loose?

My engine is out right now at my mechanics shop and I just received the newly welded coolant parts back from my welder. I am waiting for my mechanic to get back from vacation next week to put the engine back in.
Earlier in this thread someone had mentioned rebuilding the LSD while the engine is out. I do plan on doing this eventually but is it necessary to have the engine out to do a Guard LSD rebuild or can it be done with the engine in? Not sure I want to wait around another week or two to get the parts but I will do it now if necessary.

You remove the engine/trans togther. So yes, it's easier to do the LSD with the transmission out of the car.
And yes, there is a small coolant hose that goes from the chassis to the trans oil cooler than needs to be removed. It's small and easy to miss.

Andy, I also remember that when I was removing starter top bold it was difficult to reach - I think I was using a long extension to get to it - you will not be able to see it -locate it with ur fingers first.

Slave Cylinder off, starter off (these were both MUCH easier to do with the engine lowered about 6-8 inches).
Coolant line to tranny cooler disconnected and free.
So here's where I stand, there appers to be one last line holding me from having everything completely out.
Left side of the engine bay. Pictured below it's the rubber line running to the junction by the brass colored bolt with red paint on the head. This rubber line appears to just be pressed on at this junction and also at a junction point below the expansion tank but seems stubborn and doesn't want to simply slip off. I'm not the type to force something without knowing any better.
So what is this mystery line and what's the correct method for removal?
