Default Quick confirmation of spark plugs for these cars

Just turned 30k miles and still enjoy driving it more than ever, even though it's not on the track. Can't believe these cars are about to turn 8 yrs old!!! How time flies

Anyway, need to change the plugs and I'm a little confused. The OEM plug part number is 999-170-195-90 which is a Bosch FR6LDC. In researching this, apparently the 996 Turbo guys use this plug, but it's been updated from the BERU to a M14? Anyone ever heard of this and does it apply to non turbo cars?

I bought new plugs a year ago from a Porsche dealer using 999.170.195.90 and they are Beru ultra 14FR - 6LDU.

2008 Porsche Parts Catalog lists 14FR 6LDU.

Yup and loving it.... now that the car is sorted out to my liking. You know, changing these plugs would be easier on your lift than the garage floor.....

Happy Holidays to you, Angela and Tiff

As long as you are in there you should also change the coil packs. Just changed mine after 43000 miles, not all mine and a couple were starting to crack
