Ride in Stock 6GT3
#16
When I have the extra $$ I'll likely move up to a 7GT3 or 1 RS.. since my track time is limited in the P-Car. 6GT3 is Awesome but not the best road warrior.
Of Course I can wait until PJ wants to trade?

Sorry to say the audio input did work, but the radio then didn't. Disconnected it. Tried to put in a CDC-4, but that isn't working either.
I have a ride set up in a bone-stock car as soon as I can coordinate it. Right now, either I keep it or got to '07 GT3.

So, got my ride today. Loaded a sound meter app to do some relative comparisons. My GT3 is no louder than one with no roll bar or aftermarket mufflers. Subjectively, the same. So, where do I go now. Maybe I should just shut my yap, and enjoy the ride, you think?

See my note above, got a ride today in a bone stock car. And, no, unfortunately, neither the audio input that Canyon did, nor the CDC-4 work. Frankly, like listening to the engine more.

We drive our 6gt3 all the time, everywhere. Have put almost 17k miles on it in 9 months, all street. Wife drives it to work almost every day. And while it's not like driving a caddy, it still puts a smile on both of our faces every time we drive it.
Car is all stock, and raised up a bit to the top of the recommended specs so we can get in and out of our driveway. Some (LVDell) have made fun of the fact we don't track it, but we get enjoyment from it every day, while others only a few times a year at the track...

Which tires do you use? If you're on MPSCs, 888s or any other track focused tyre then these will make it much harsher and noisier

Cheapie Sumitomos. When I moved to those ($850/set) over the Michelin PS2s, did not notice a difference.
After much discussion over on the 7GT3 forum, and advice from two very well-regarded (and many others), until I change my mind again, sticking with the 6GT3.

FYI, for others who may consider the Sumi's, IMO, they are more than adequate for spirited canyon carving, but their shoulders are not as broad as the Michelin's, so edges of rims may be exposed. My Forgelines are.

Driven daily with 66,000+ street miles on the clock.
My girlfriend tells me never to sell it. Even had Derek Bell sign the inside bonnet.
By the way, I am running the Hankooks as well. Bought them last year when MSPs and most other brands were not available. At first they are very squirmy and I regretted my purchase, but after a few hundred miles they have settled in nicely.
