Default Fitting RS crank pulley problems!

Hello.

Many thanks to all who send in diy great help!

I thought about changing my pulley to a RS I have just changed the flywheel to the 997 GT2 RS (2004 CUP).
However, I ran into problems, the pin on the GT2 pulley is 5mm and the RS pulley that I have received is only 4 mm!

Can I have received the wrong pulley, there may be several to choose from?
Or it is possible to mount even though the pin is smaller does not feel so good!?
Pulleys are also much smaller in diameter approx 20mm, is it ok?

I specs the parts I have so there will be no more unpleasant surprises :-)

Pulley: 996.102.017.95
Bolt: 996.102.301.90
Washer: 999.025.174.01
Washer: 996.102.203.90

That's the correct pulley. It's the same one I just installed on my car.

I wouldn't worry about the pin. It's only meant to correctly position the TDC marks on the pulley and isn't load bearing.

I had that same pulley installed earlier this year; no worries. (link)

OK, thanks!
I was a little worried for a while ...

The increased speed is not a problem for the other units?

I just weighed the two pulleys and original weighed 873 g and RS weighed 294 g total 579 g :-) so now I have removed 10.6 kg flywheel mass overall, it feels good!

When you guys were doing the upgrade on the pulley, did any of you consider the EVOMS's version? Just curious..

OEM is cheap - $75. I just don't see the value of going with anything aftermarket at 2-3x the price.

I have one more reflection!
When I mount the drive belt, it seems that it is a bit too long!
I probably have the wrong belt relative to the new pulley.
My belt is part number 999.192.379.50, it must be wrong belt!

Does anyone know what belt I should have or if it goes with the one I have!?

You need 996 102 151 92 if you don't have A/C

or 996 102 151 93 if you do,

that part number above is from a 996/997TT.

I wonder if there are different pin holes in crankshafts on turbo/GT2 and GT3's!
Those of you who have responded here have GT3's I presume?
I have a GT2, and it feels wrong when there is a gap that is not on the original pulley.

But the guide pin may not take any load?

hard to take a chance and be left with a loose disc ...
I might have to send it to a machine shop to get a new pin fitted or what do you think?
