Beautiful car, there got to be some mental anguish with the decision. Would love to see some vids of VIR. Heading down there in November and can't wait to finally drive that track!

I have a video on vimeo - just search for VIR and GT3. They are slightly slower laps - had a student in the car.

Absolutely, there is. It's hard to appreciate driving a car that is setup just about perfectly. I came off track at 3370 with half tank of gas, me and full gear on some pretty old tires. I agree with Dell, some strategic weight removal, bigger throttle body and plenum, a tune - I know this car will be sub 2 at VIR and that says a lot.

But, I just can't do it - can't gut and cage the car. It's too nice and somebody can really enjoy it. Plus you should see the look on people's faces when I drive it to work on a nice Friday

Did you get the oil pressure sender replaced? Any more Type 2 over-revs?

I'm looking forwards to more pictures as I'm finding this very tempting.....

Marc - I did not as the issue never came back, so seemed rather pointless. Plus, it's a 60 dollar part that is readily available. Shouldn't be any more type 2s, but probably a few more type 1s while I was getting used to the rev limiter.

Heck of a nice car! (I was talking to Dell)

GLWTS ukr!

Man, if I could only go back in time... turning street cars into track cars is fun... but tiring... and time consuming... and just a simple reminder of how I should have bought a purpose built racer up front.

Oh, well.

Keep us posted on the new target...

Mike - responded

RJ - this is nothing more than a journey. Honestly, I enjoy it and trying new cars is always a joy. This one is special, so it won't break my heart to keep it! I got a TT event at CMP coming up, it'll be interesting to see if I can set a track record with new setup and slicks, last time I was there I got within 0.4 of a second!!
