It's doable by yourself. The hardest part was sliding it into place past the engine carrier. I may have used a big screwdriver for some leverage to get it on....don't remember.
I am just trying to get it back on after fixing the top inlet coolant pipe after it blew out. It is so tight to get it over the alternator pulley. Maybe I do need more beer:-)
I use a Snap-On LONG 22/24 straight wrench. Makes the job easy as u need very little pressure on the wrench and can then concentrate getting the belt over the alternator pulley. The wrench is like $100 so you better have other uses for it
Make sure the belt is seated properly on all pulleys. Slide onto the idler pulley last. I used the bolt circled below to move the tensioner IIRC. I don't recall it being a large bolt.
Glad to her it's on. Sometimes you have to use the right combination of words.
Awesome vid FFaust. Reminds me of my first car, I used to advance or retard the distributor based on the type of driving I'd be doing. It had a screwdriver programable ECU.
