Would a cover tailored for a 2010 GT3 be a good fit for a 6GT3 with an RS wing?

I did a quick check. Rennlist 'ltcjmramos' used a cover he got from 'mooty' designed for the 2007-2008 997 GT3 RS.

I use a 996 GT2 cover on mine and it fits fairly well. The back bumper isn't covered but the cover fits over the RS wing. Without the RS wing it's perfect.

I ordered a 6GT3 RS cover from Carnewal...not here yet so can't say anything about the fit but the previous ones I've had from him have been perfect.

FWIW: you can order one from california car covers (a previous thread re: jrgordon's template he made for them) that fits a 996 Cup which is basically the same shape. Mine fits great.

The PO of my car provided a nice cover, but its for indoor only; nice cotton and stretchy fabric; works with RS wing nicely; I can look at the tag tonight.

I bought SMSArchitects previous Koni car (996 Carrera with Cup wing).

I bought the cover in July from California Car cover (800.423.5525) . It fits well.. The description is a stock description (996 cup car with wing), but it comes from a special jig that fits this car better.

Tell them to reference order #1550453, the part #DKCJ-PR is the stock SKU, but use my order number to pull up the right jig.. PM me if you have any trouble or questions.

Carnewal makes some great car covers. Gert is very helpful, too.

Yes, should fit fine. Have a factory 996 GT3 Cup car cover for 996 GT3. Had a OEM rear RS wing on it. Now use on 997 GT3RS Mk1. Fits great.
