Default 996 gt3 euro bucket seats and a child seat?

has any one tried fitting a child seat (my son is just over 30 lbs at 20 months) into the gt3 euro seats? if so, which brand/model fits well?

my wife and i have recaro child seats for our other cars but they are quite large, hence i'd like to find an alternative so that him and i can run out to starbucks on sundays

the dealer isnt very helpful since the euro seats were not an option in our cars.

Search this forum for Booster Seat and it is discussed there.

You can run Porsche child seat with airbag deactivation kit.

This booster seat from Recaro fit fine in it.. I wouldn't put a kid under 3 in it as it is made to use the standard seatbelt.

Britax Römer is the company making the OEM Porsche child seats, and they fit nicely - also in the back. I have the Kids Plus in my Euro GT3 for my 4-year old son, fits nicely in the GT3 bucket seat. I'm not sure if they have the same car seats available in the states though, but as seen in this link the car seats are identical to the Porsche branded ones: http://www.britax-roemer.com/car-sea...view-car-seats

Those non-Porsche seats will fit in the GT3 buckets but you still need to install the airbag deactivation kit. Once that is installed it requires a special buckle that comes on the Porsche seats to activate. Without that buckle you are risking the safety of the child in the front seat. You can possibly find folks who have old seats that are discarding the seat and can snip the buckle off for you.

Unless something has changed since I installed mine and I don't how you can avoid this device to turn off the airbag.

Good luck.

just about any seat will fit. you have to squish it into the gt3 euro seat.
however, your child may be too light and too young for front seat.

I just made the buckle myself, it's quite easy. There are a DIY somewhere out there.

I'll have to check the model. A few yrs old. . I rarely take my 4yo in it as he loves my new truck. Btw bought the stupid Porsche seat to get the buckle and snipped it out for the deactivation buckle just to find out that I believe that buckle you can buy from one of the guys here(can't remember name. He sells the buckle and the caliper spreader) to keep the bell from chiming when using 6 pt also fits deactivation buckle. Think it was less 20$. ?
