Default how do i use a trickle charger on a 996 GT2???

it doesnt have a plug in the glove box like the GT, so do i clamp positve and negative clamps on the battery terminals in the front trunk? then into the outlet in the wall? does this charge the battery??
or should i get those that plugs into the lighter??

Thank u.

+2 on the lighter. There is a standard Porsche charger (I believe around $70) that I use my car that uses the lighter.

I do the same. Battery post positive and negative grounding bolt just to the side of the battery. I use the CTEK3300 and works like a champ.

I use the Porsche Charge-O-Mat II which is what Porsche sells. Its the one that plugs into the cigarette lighter. I've been using it for several years and highly recommend it. Its about $130 at least here in Miami it is if you buy it from the Stealership. CTEK is the company that manufactures the Porsche unit. Just cheaper. Any way you cut it, battery tender is hella cheaper than buying a new ($400) battery.
