Camber plate orientation, stock position

Camber plate orientation, stock position
Can anyone describe the stock orientation for the front camber plate in the front strut tower for the 996 GT3? There are scallops on one side/edge. Should the scallops be oriented fore, aft, inboard, or outboard? I bought a used GT3 and the camber plate on the left is oriented differently from the right. The wheels can be aligned well, at up to -3 degrees both fronts with the current orientation, but I wonder if there is a fundamental problem with leaving the camber plates as they are.

The camber plates have 2 positions they can be installed in:
a) lower camber numbers - 0 - about 1.5 degrees negative
b) higher camber settings - about 1.5 - 3 degrees negative
Left and right camber plates are mirror images of each other (different part numbers) - they are not generally installed in a mismatched way - unless the vehicle has been hit on one side, and they did it to correct the alignment (shortcut which would probably indicate a less than perfect repair)
The stock setting is (a) above.
