Thanks for the tip
I know the shop I got them from will take them back and use them
I bought a set of wheels from a rl'er and it had these sized Michelin slicks on them and he had no complaints and bought them from GMG as take offs
Curious what size crazy canuck uses?
I appreciate your chiming in with your experience... I dont want to even attempt to mess with abs etc - thank you

Ok guys as mentioned in prior posts it's not recommended to run slicks on stock suspension? What would happen if u do? Motons is my next upgrade next season as well as cup wing. Regards. Mike

The more grip you add, the more a shock absorber needs to work. They will get hotter then normal, wear out earlier, and i guess could start to behave different. But that's only theory. Do not know what the originals can and can not handle and (more importantly) at what speed / force because it all depends how fast you go. If you cruise with the slicks or push them to the limit all the time. I for example do not have the skills yet, to get the max out of my MPSC tires. I will only step up to slicks if i can honestly say, that the tires are limiting me. And not the other way around as it is now still.

To add to the above: the first time I used R6 with my worn out oem shocks, it was startling how bad the worn out shocks felt. It was very dramatic compared to the NT-01 tires I was used to. I can only imagine how much more pressure pure slicks would put on the rest of the suspension.

As if to give another reason to my wife that my shocks grenaded : ) and needs to be replaced if u run slicks how does it affect handling other then accelerated wear of suspension components and what's a guessitimate when shocks fry using slicks : ). Mike

jeff posted some insanely fast times at BW LS SP with R6 and stock suspension o. 6 and 7 RS. you don't need motion u just need talent. this say r6 overloads oem suspension needs to learn how to drive. r6 is NOT slick.
r6 on 6gt3 255/35, 235/35, 305/30
the 35 front is what u want not 40 even
though 40 is closer to oem diameter. no abs issues.

I would say to get monoballs all around and the hard adjustable motorsport type links before you need Motons or JRZs. R6s and R compound or slicks can flex the rubber bits in your suspension and cause alignment issues before your shocks are shot. This is necessary if and when you upgrade to double ajustable shocks. And it will only cost $1,500.00 to $2,000.00. That is something you can spend money on before 6-7,000.00 on remote canister shocks.
Mooty, I will assume that fast times with a stock suspention includes rear toe links at least?

4 turns, he will drop me.
johanes, drops me in 2 turns.
but, yes, monoball helps. dont confuse mike (996flt6). i will do my best to spend his money. he will have moton, monoball everywhere, other than his own... he has toe links already i think.
he also need monoball upper shock mount
