So with a light trailer (aluminum), a GT3 can be towed just fine w/ the like of Pilot?

Eventually I will be getting a trailer and was afraid that I'd need some monster truck to tow...

Not gonna be towed often, just when going to track.. that kind of deal..

Yep, the Trailex is like 900lbs and the car is a bit over 3000lbs. The Pilot can tow 5000lbs and since the trailer has brakes it's no big deal. Granted, it's not fast with the car on the back but it works well. One day in the future I'll look for a F250 or something similar to tow it with.
BTW, the Pilot has a 3.5L V6 that makes 240hp and 250lbs/ft so it's not a big power house.

Thanks for the info.. a Pilot is probably much easier to live with than a Toyota Tundra for day to day stuff.. (I was thinking about one of those..)

I'll go yell at my mechanic to get it out. He is busy with all those batmobiles in the shop.

sorry to rain on the parade, it's fun UNTIL i cut you off on the fwy doing 55mph. you jam on the brakes, it will NOT be fine.

you can do it, but it's not optimal.

many say this is fine that is fine. tow WHATEVER it is you got with a huge diesel truck, then come back to tell me that you prefer towing with suv.

Nice rig, Mr. Michael B.

Mooty: I was at ORP last week with PJ and he gave me a tour of your old trailer. Nice! Curious how long it'll be before PJ buys your current trailer.

It is more than adequate.

With 2 sets of electric brakes, if set correctly, the combo will stop as well coupled as the truck by itself.

Of course a huge diesel truck is better because it is bigger, heavier than what is being towed and is more powerful but it isn't required in my professional opinion.

I ahve to say that so far I'm very comfortable towing the car on the trailer; I have adjusted the brakes and it feels quite good and very safe.
Can I put pagid yellow's on the trailer?
