Default VIDEO: 996 GT3 MkII Vs 997 GT2 RS

Don't know how to change the topic title but its not a GT2 vRS but a GT3

Was tracking yesterday at Zolder, Belgium and was shooting my GoPro camera 2 ways. I was running on reserve fuel already a lap or two and just before the end it stalled on me (first and last time i do that)

Nice and smooth. I like it. I'll have a reverse camera set up for my next event as well. Its a different perspective.

How do you edit the video so you combine the video from the 2 camera and still in synch? (Don't know much about video editing) Do they have some sort of time stamp and you synch the 2 camera before you start filming?

Yes, you can sych the video in the software program. RaceRender is a great, easy to use, and low cost option.

What Q&A used however can be done in most standard programs, even Windows Movie Maker. All you are doing is splicing together 2 different clips of video. Not to take anything away from his work!

For instance, you can sych on time, or position, like I did in this video.

2 cameras. load them both in your edit system. Try to synch both visually by a reference point. (start finish or a car you just passed) Then you have both footage with the same beginning and ending. Then export one unedited sound file (you have two) and use this later as your only sound source. Start editing by taking not too difficult shots (for example 10 seconds, 5 seconds etc etc) so you stay in synch with the actual lap time.

It's a bit of work but it's worth the effort if you are able to hold off a GT2 RS for a lap ;-)

Great video but pretty sure that's a 997GT3 with black bonnet, definitely a GT3 wing and no GT2 airducts...

Still great video though, Zolder looks good, we're doing Spa and Zandvoort in August and can't wait...

Good eyes Dervish. You are so right, I was paying more attention to the track ahead of me. Thanks and I corrected the YouTube posting. When are you in Zandvoort ?

Both the first week of August. There's also a large Porsche/ GT3 group doing the July 'Destination Nurburgring' event http://www.destination-nurburgring.com/ you've got to come to that!
