It is a 2001 Carrera (C2)..

The diff was welded together for drafting.. !

It is a manual, but w/ funny 5-speed shift **** (on a 6-speed gearbox)... ha!

I believe it was also on many other Porsches including all manual flavors of the 944/turbo/s/S2, 928s, 964 chassis 911s and so on. I DON'T think it naturally fits on a 996 shift lever though... But not much else they did to that car make sense either.
