Default Two Rennlisters making a deal -what's a fair price

Four factory GT3 wheels used as track wheels. Owner represents wheels as straight but cosmetically challenged. Set includes 4 Toyo R888's with a day of track use. Pictures attached and your help appreciated. What's a fair price? Thanks

"Cosmetically challenged" - Lol, do you work in real estate?

Id say $1500. Run them until the tires are done and refinish before remounting new rubber.

Agreed on around $1500. That would actually be a pretty sweet deal. $1750 or even $2000 with relatively new tires is acceptable, IMO.

Depends on how much track use they have seen. Most people don't consider wheels a wear item, but if you ask any race wheel vendor they will tell you 3-4 years max on a set of wheels that see the track a lot is when you should replace them. The heat from the brakes does eventually make wheels more brittle and prone to cracking.

Looks like a lot of abuse...I'd want to predicate the deal on the wheels being confirmed as straight and true.

Porsche OEM wheels are never the lightest, but are extremely durable. It's very rare for them to fail.

Was going to say $1,500 before reading the replies. A bit more if local and no shipping involved.

Serge944 too funny because I actually used to be in Real Estate. But, in this case I am the buyer so you can't give me too hard a time! My friend is the seller and we want to be fair with each other. Thanks for your input.

To be fair to the seller. Despite the fact that they have been really badly treated I would have thought the wheels alone would be worth 1200-1500. The tires looked barely used and therefore must be worth at least half price. I would have thought this set is worth $2k+.

If the point of this thread however was to argue the price down however (rather than arrive at a "fair" price) then please ignore this post.

The wheels in that shape I would have said about $1K and the tires I would say $500-700. So $1500-$1700 plus shipping is the target.

Thank you all for the input. We worked it out between us. I'll probably take the suggestion and use up these tires then have the wheels refinished.
