Question Tires which One?

05-996GT3 some track ,some street ,I have 18" wheels .I like some feed back on Hankook,Michelin,Sumitoyo etc.. I now have 10.000 miles on the car. If you have comments on handling characteristics,it would be appreciated. Thanks

The discussions are about mostly track tires . I just wanted input from both street/track usage. I have read all the posts on Nitto,Cups and Yoks.I am just looking at a differnet angle. The street driving on the 4 year old(1000mile) Michelin cups is okay and I am trying to see if anybody had any better input. Thanks

There have been countless discussions about STREET tires in all of those.

Hankook Ventus Evo V12
Sumitomo HTR ZIII
Michelin PS2

IMHO, the Hankook is the best bang for the buck. The PS2 is the best if money is no object.

If your looking to buy now, you will not find as many options as many stock sizes are on back order.

Just picked up MPSCs today. Shop ordered and arrived 2 days. But I figure there will also be a run on MPSCs after all Toyo/Nitto buyers figure out the supply issue.

It would also help if the OP would let us know where he is located and if this is for a 996GT3.

2005- GT3 I am in San Antonio,Tx After much discussion and general info from other owners I went for the Hankook shaved and heat cycled.I will have them on the track next saturday, Feedback to follow. I am sorry that it seemed I was asking a question that had been asked, but as quickly as the tires change I just wanted the expert opinion of other GT3 owners. The info you have provided helped,So thanks for the input.I will post the results.
Cheers!

Very nice choice. I haven't had the Hankooks on track but so far from my spirited drives around town they feel very capable.

No need to apologize. Just trying to steer you in the right direction. Make sure to post up a pic(s) of your beauty. The natives get very ancy when a newb doesn't post a pic of their car

By the way, where about in SA are you? I grew up there and called SA home until my mid 20s.
