This one is really close to me, so I went to take a look.
The front tires are still from 2002, and the carbon fiber on the steering wheel is all cracked on the back (where it was probably facing the sun). Also the carbon fiber on the top of the dash is coming off, but that's pretty common on these models.
otherwise seems ok to my un-trained eyes

I looked at that car about a month ago. Nice looking car but what concerned me was the Gray market status. My insurance company would not insure it. Had a PPI done on it that was pretty clean, just a few minor issues. IMO, as well as several others I spoke with, that car is not worth the asking price. I had them down to $72k, but being a gray market car, the price is still overinflated by at least $10k.

The asking price is down to $129K... This particular car doesn't the "Exterior package - carbon" option which gave you CF wing, center radiator hood slats and (I believe CF mirrors).

Either way, the 04 and especially 05 GT2s are and are going to continue to be collector friendly due to relatively significant differences and ultra low production numbers:

I suppose it's pretty similar to the 993 Turbo S cars in that they weren't just a bunch of options and a badge (like 996 turboS was).

More Power - 477 HP (33 more than Turbo S and X500 cars and 62 more than the 415 HP K16 cars)
Only 24 20004 and 5 2005 models were sent to the US by Porsche
Updated 2nd gen PCCB ceramic brakes - the ceramic brakes in previous models were 1st gen and aren't as desirable due to reliability concerns
CF exterior package option
Unique wheels
Unique rear suspension geometry (I believe the the lower rear arms are ball bearing/solid)

only time will tell collectibility and value. Air cooled cars will have different following.
