GMG or RSS Roll Bar
Looking to install a Roll Bar in a 996GT3, and the car will be used for the street and track. Plan is to also install belts and 996 GT3 Euro buckets. Does anyone have an advice on which route to go, or pros and cons to either set up? I have been looking at both GMG RSR bar as well as the RSS 4 point bolt in bar.

The RSS 930 is comparable to the GMG you have listed, as a true "bolt in" bar.
RSS 930 Series
I think the RSS Competition requires you to drill or weld the front supports.

Buy my rollbar that I have sitting here collecting dust. Mooty can tell you more about it as it was once his I believe. This one is a TC Design bar and is one of the best ones out there. It will need to be powder coated unless you want one that is orange but the price more than allows you to do that.

I don't know which is better, but you can add a strut tower brace to the GMG WC-GT. Also, the RSR doesn't have a horizontal bar in front. How do you attach a harness to the RSR?

I am right there with you my friend.
I am at this very moment trying to decide between the GMG RSR and the RSS.
The RSS has 2 options, the competition and the standard. Standard is less expensive and less obtrusive. My understanding is that it also is easier to install and where it does not connect to shock towers, is less noisy.
Leaning torward sthe RSS Standard unless PCA does not allow it.
Feedback anyone?

I bought an RSS Standard bar and the build quality and paint finish was PERFECT.
The RSS Competition bar is probably what I get. (not available at the time)
The folks at RSS were great to deal with at all levels including shipping to Canada.
Whether you choose GMG or RSS, I don't think you can go wrong either way.

i had a Cantrell Motorsport bar and it was awesome. the fit was amazing, super tight, right up to the roof line and pillars. it almost looked like a custom welded in bar but it's a true bolt in bar. i believe its one of the tightest fits you can get before going weld-in custom:

it really makes the porsche OEM bar look like a joke, well then again most anything makes the porsche unit look like a joke even when compared to something like a DAS, you can tell the DAS just doesnt "fit like a glove" has lots of gaps and overall doesnt give that ultra clean, high quality fitment that you'd expect in a fine auto like a gt3
my avatar shows a small pic of the bar. send me a PM if you'd like to see some close up pics i took when i uninstalled it and sold. only reason i sold, i was turning the gt3 back to stock to sell.
