Question What are you running for coolant?

Until I can make the welding fixes on the coolant fittings I have switched over to water + water wetter this season, so, if there should be a failure it should be less catastrophic to me and anyone behind me. I was advised to still run the water wetter for some lubrication of the pump.

You may also wish to run a small bottle of power steering lube, in addition to the WW. On my Vette, I run a bottle of WW, distilled water, and a bottle of PSL. No issues and the Z06 is infamous for burning up PS pumps.

I can't see how it would. Having said that, I'd rather void the CPO warranty than have a catastrophic wreck.

Does anyone know how many hours of labor is needed to perform a complete coolant pipe fix, welding all the (6 I think) pipe connections? Does the motor have to come out?

I don't have a hard and fast number, but yes, the motor must be dropped, and quite a bit of dis-assembly is required to get the fittings off the motor. This is my opinion from talking with my shop while looking at a GT3 motor out of the car getting ready for the work to be done.

Its makes sense to also make a 'while you're in there' list, so to be safe I'd double your original estimate for the work.
