If you look at the history report, the title was issued with 21 miles. The car still has 21 miles. Very strange. I asked about the accident and was told:
The car is new and as represented. It has been started regularly but never driven.

Also notice the unusually high amount of wear on the inside of the trunk.

How can they say "lovingly preserved since new with the plastic still on" yet not explain how a 21 mile car has an accident reported in 2006.

Suspicious that he didn't post the question with an explanation.

If you have a very rare car and it is as new, you would write a much better description and want great photos of the car.

Also, your explaination of a title with a collision would be addressed directly.

I sent anther request to see what the seller says.....stand by.

Hahahaha......the guy now has posted an update addressing the accident info.

The vin check shows a case number. ( autocheck Case #:45-1090-45-OHP45) Wonder who addressed it?

I sent Autocheck and email for clarification.

I am hoping this really is an error by them.

I will run a carfax and let you know. I am also not crazy about the "No AC" thing. Harldy an option not worth having.

Good luck. I would also put it in the garage for the right price, but the right price for a second 6 GT3 is not the same as for the first.

I e-mailed the seller and got this response:

Francois,
Thanks for your interest in the car. The GT3 has been in my private collection since its purchase from Beechmont Porsche in 2004.
The Auto Check accident report of 9/25/06 is incorrect and a fabrication. The GT3 has never left my facility after its initial delivery in 2004. It has been regularly started but never driven.
The mileage at delivery, 4/22/04, was 21, as correctly noted by them in the same report.
The current photos, very recently taken for the auction, show the same mileage.
Auto Check has been notified of their error but has yet to rectify the incorrect portion of their report.
Thanks again,
Seller has a few VERY nice cars for sale including this Orange RS with 14 miles on it: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...CA:MOTORS:1348

If I had the money, I'd buy every one of these damned cars...

As I have said, I would be very explicit in my ad about the accident and if it was an error you bet your *** I'd be all over it getting it fixed PRIOR to selling it.

Besides, what is he REALLY asking for the car? If it's part of a "collection" and have zero driven miles (other than the 21 counted) then why the heck buy a car to sit and then sell for a loss. Besides, I would go nowhere near a car that has logged zero miles in 6-7 years. Starting it every so often but not driven is not good.

Back in 2005 a local Porsche Dealer had a crashed untittled 996 GT3. A guy came in to the dealer and chatted up the salesman who is a PCA club racer and talked about how great that the US finally got one of the ultimate handling street cars that Europe has allways gotten. The guy wanted to test drive it so the salesman checked with upper management as this was the Hot new car. The boss said ok so the salesman took the guy for a short ride. They then switched seats so the guy could drive back to the dealership. The idiot cannot drive worth a damn and looses control on the 1-1/2 miles back to the dealership. The dealer's insurance totaled the car but not all costs were recovered, and they wholesaled
the wreck because they were too reputable to try to fix it. (and a lot of their customers track cars so they couldn't guarantee repairs when this car might see 160mph.)
And of course the jerk didn't buy a new GT3 or any other car and they never saw him again.
