Blasphemous as this may sound...how realistic is it to have a 6-GT3 as a DD?

Driving my GT3 on the roads in Michigan is a total waste of time and GT3 life time imo - feels like you have a race horse which you can only ride on your back lawn.
Car comes alive on track though. That's why I'm not bothering any more - just an onramp to get a little acceleration kick and then brake late the next offramp - great!

Someone I know is considering buying one, and wants to use is as his daily driver. They already have a full track/race car (and other fun Porsches), but asked me about the idea of getting a 996 GT3 for daily use.
I've only driven one sparingly, so I can't answer the question.
How many of you use yours a lot on the street? and if not, why? (those of you that have full track cars need not answer that question)
Assuming it would have no real mods on it, and be bascially factory stock, how enjoyable is driving one every day?
(this is what happens when you used to own a car business, everyone still thinks I'm the expert!)
